In conjunction with the One Year Standard Warranty (shown below), and at no extra charge, there is a 5 year integrity warranty on the evaporator section of most cooling units rebuilt by RV Mobile Inc. Cooling units with the Smart Warranty are clearly identified as such on the Cooling Units' sales pages.
Since the evaporators of these units are completely re-tubed, they are warranted against failure for 5 years from the date of purchase. If a cooling unit fails in the evaporator section within the 5 year period and is returned to RV Mobile Inc. within that time frame, it will be repaired or replaced at no cost to the customer. There is no allowance for labor or freight costs. See our Rebuilding Process for a clear idea of what the evaporator is. This warranty applies only to qualifying models rebuilt after 4/1/2004.
The warranty for cooling units rebuilt by RV MOBILE INC. covers defects for one year from date of sale and is limited to the repair of the defective unit in our shop or the reimbursement of the price of the cooling unit paid to RV MOBILE INC. at RV MOBILE INC.’s discretion. Damaged or abused cooling units are not covered under warranty. There is no warranty on labor or freight costs, except as noted next.
Cooling units only, when defective, are to be shipped prepaid to RV MOBILE INC. If a unit is returned to RV MOBILE INC. within 30 days of sale to the original owner and is found to be defective, the customer or dealer will be reimbursed for the least costliest freight charges and the return freight will be prepaid by RV MOBILE INC. This freight allowance applies only to the 48 contiguous states. A labor allowance of $70.00 will also be allowed for the successful R&R of a cooling unit that fails during the first thirty days. These allowances will only be paid upon the return and inspection of the defective unit. If a cooling unit is replaced or repaired during the warranty period by RV MOBILE INC., the warranty period of the repaired or replaced cooling unit is the balance of the original warranty period.
EXCEPT for the express warranty stated above, RV MOBILE INC. disclaims all other implied warranties including those of merchantability and fitness. The express warranty is in lieu of all obligations or liabilities on the part of RV MOBILE INC. for damages, including but not limited to special, indirect, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with the use or performance of the materials. ALL warranties are void on past due accounts, or if RV MOBILE INC. decal is removed from cooling unit.
What it does: extends standard warranty from one year to two years. The labor allowance for changing a defective cooling unit is extended for the full two years and basic freight in the 48 contiguous states is included.
Cost: $50.00
Requirements: You must apply within 30 days of purchase or installation of your cooling unit, and you must include a copy of the invoice on which the cooling unit was purchased from the dealer. Units placed in rental service do not qualify.
Effect: In a sense you gain a nationwide warranty within the limitations of the extended warranty.
ONE YEAR EXTENDED WARRANTY: The customer has the option of applying for an extended warranty on a cooling unit rebuilt by RV MOBILE INC. The customer must return the extended warranty application along with a check for $50.00 to RV MOBILE INC. within 30 days of the original installation of the cooling unit. Units placed in rental RVs do not qualify for the extended warranty. Upon acceptance of the application by RV MOBILE INC., the following amendments to the standard warranty will be in effect for two years from the original date of purchase and will supersede the original warranty. The labor allowance of $70.00 for the successful R&R of a defective cooling unit extends over the two year period, and the freight allowance will also be extended to cover the two year period. All other limitations will still apply.
The Midwest Products standard warranty is the same as RV Mobile's Standard Warranty. They also sell a one year and a two year warranty extension for $50.00 and $75.00 respectively.
